Cracked heels are a common problem many of us face daily.

HOMEMADE FOOT SOAK FOR CRACKED HEELS

The hardened skin returns like a boomerang, and our feet never look the way we want. This foot soak, made from simple ingredients at home, can help transform your feet just in time for fall shoes.

What do you need to make a foot soak for cracked heels at home? There are only two ingredients that you likely already have in your kitchen – half a liter of milk and a few (2-3) teaspoons of baking soda.

Milk and baking soda work together perfectly, treating cracked heels better than many creams. Milk is rich in lactic acid, which softens the skin, while baking soda has a powerful abrasive effect and is excellent for removing dry, rough skin, smoothing and polishing the heels, according to Krstarica.

The process is as simple as the ingredients. Here's what to do:

- Heat the milk and pour it into a basin large enough for your feet to fit comfortably.

- Soak your feet in the milk for five minutes.

- After five minutes, start rubbing baking soda onto your damp feet.

Soak your feet for another five minutes.

- Rinse with water and dry them with a towel.

This simple foot soak can give your heels a smooth and refreshed feel, ready for the colder season!
