RIBNIČKO LAKE – A HIDDEN GEM IN THE HEART OF ZLATIBOR

Just a few kilometers from the tourist center of Zlatibor, nestled in the embrace of mountain landscapes, lies one of the most beautiful artificial lakes in the region – Ribničko Lake.

This lake, the second largest on Zlatibor, stretches approximately 2,000 meters in length and is a true natural gem.

What makes Ribničko Lake unique is its incredible clarity, with a dark, rocky bottom that enhances the depth and purity of the water. Thanks to its location near the Tornik ski center, the lake has become even more attractive to tourists, nature lovers, and outdoor enthusiasts.

Ribničko Lake was created around 1970 when the Crni Rzav River was dammed to form a reservoir ensuring water supply for the settlements of Čajetina and Kraljeve Vode. As a result, a large dam stands in the middle of the lake, becoming one of its most recognizable features.

Today, Ribničko Lake is an ideal destination for relaxation in nature, whether it's a summer walk along the shore, capturing breathtaking scenery, or simply enjoying the tranquility, interrupted only by the sound of water and the gentle mountain breeze from Zlatibor's peaks.
