REGION TO HOST FIFTH INTERNATIONAL RAKIJA FESTIVAL IN JUNE

"Last year, we received as many as 901 samples from over 300 producers, while around forty of them showcased their rakija to visitors. This year, we expect an even greater turnout, and we take this opportunity to invite all residents of Apatin to visit the festival on June 14 and enjoy top-quality domestic rakija," said Željko Vlatković from the "Guardians of Tradition" association, as reported by Agro TV.

Apatin's municipal president, Dubravka Korać, emphasized the importance of this event for promoting the town, local production, and tradition.

"We support this initiative because it not only preserves our heritage but also attracts tourists, brings people together, and encourages the growth of small producers. I am pleased that about fifteen Apatin residents submitted around 50 rakija samples last year, which shows that high-quality production is developing in our region. The International Rakija Festival is an opportunity to showcase our hospitality, as well as the richness and craftsmanship of our producers," Korać stated.

Organizers highlight that visitors will have the chance to taste various types of fruit rakija while also enjoying a rich cultural and entertainment program. Participants from Serbia and the region are expected, with special attention given to the evaluation of rakija quality and the promotion of traditional production.
