Participants, guests, and all curious visitors who come to Nevesinje at the beginning of August can expect a variety of sports, cultural, and tourist events. The most successful Olympians will compete for a prize fund of 50,000 KM.

The Olympics will begin on August 4th with the raising of the Olympic flag in front of the "Nevesinjka" Sports Hall. This ceremonial act will mark the start of the chivalric competition in around fifty disciplines that have been featured in previous years. The first medals will be awarded that same day to the winners of the Open City Table Tennis Championship.

During the first week of the Olympics, there will be tennis and chess competitions, while the youngest participants will find their events within the Small Olympics. Enigma enthusiasts can look forward to the jubilee edition of the Olympic Quiz, which has enriched the entertainment part of the Nevesinje Olympics for two decades.

On Saturday, August 10th, the program includes the "Velež Vertical 2024" mountain race, the International Sport Fishing Competition, and the Beach Volleyball Tournament.

The picturesque area of Alagovac Lake and the Velež mountain is already attracting interest from competitors and nature lovers. As of yesterday, 40 participants from France, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, and BiH have registered.

The "Aleksa Kovačević" Athletic Meeting with 16 disciplines will be held on August 11th, alongside the Youth Basketball Tournament. The second week of the Olympics will feature the conclusion of the Olympic Futsal Tournament, shooting competitions, and the Youth Small Football Tournament. This year, for martial arts enthusiasts, there will be a public sparring session of Olympic boxing.

Culture and tradition will be represented through the RS Young Gusle Players Festival, a book promotion by Vesna Kapor, plays, and exhibitions by visual artists. Traditional concerts will be prepared by the "Let's Dance" Dance Club and the ethno groups "Sveti Dimitrije" and "Simonida."

Between the numerous competitions, guests and Olympians will have the opportunity to taste local specialties and explore the ethnographic treasures of the Nevesinje region. The right place for this will be the Food and Handicrafts Fair, which has previously attracted great interest from visitors.

The cultural and entertainment program before the chivalric games will be held at Freedom Square with a performance by the renowned singer of ethno, spiritual, and patriotic music, Danica Crnogorčević.

The central event featuring chivalric disciplines and traditional horse races will take place at Bratački lug on Sunday, August 18th.
