The foundations have recently been poured for the Home of King Dragutin, officially known as the Orthodox Spiritual Center and Parish Home, currently under construction in the courtyard of the Holy Trinity Memorial Church in Teslić.
His Eminence, Metropolitan Fotije of Zvornik-Tuzla, blessed the beginning of the construction in February this year. The consecration ceremony gathered a large number of faithful worshippers.
"After two months of excavation and foundation work, the base slab for the Home of King Dragutin has been poured, using 470 cubic meters of concrete. We invite everyone to contribute to the building of this historic project for our Holy Church. Donations can be made at the Church of the Holy Trinity or through NLB Bank to the account SPC OPŠTINA TESLIĆ CENTAR – DOM SVETOG KRALjA DRAGUTINA, number 562-150-81936644-31," said representatives of the Holy Trinity Church in Teslić.
The parish home is envisioned as a place of gathering and spiritual unity. The future Home of King Dragutin will be a modern building featuring two symbolic towers — the “Kosovo Tower,” representing Saint Prince Lazar, and the “Hilandar Tower,” symbolizing Saint Sava.
The facility will include parish offices, a memorial room, a library, and a communal dining hall.
In addition, the first women’s monastery in the area was officially established on Krstova Gora near Teslić earlier this year, following the decision of the Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
