Šobin Jun, a bright 22-year-old from South Korea, arrived in Banja Luka three weeks ago with a mission to pursue education and broaden her horizons.
Driven by a passion for art, graphic design, and animation, Šobin aimed to delve deeper into her interests while immersing herself in a new environment filled with diverse cultures and friendships. So far, her experience has exceeded expectations.
- I'm still adjusting. Things are a bit different compared to life and studying in South Korea. My first class in graphic communications was yesterday, and my initial impressions are that it's quite distinct from classes in South Korea. There, there's more emphasis on neatness and following rules, while here, there's room for more creativity. I hope to adapt well since the working principles differ, shared Šobin Jun in an interview with ATV.
This marks Šobin's first venture beyond the borders of her home country. Upon learning about the student exchange program, she eagerly seized the opportunity to be the first to venture into Republika Srpska. While the decision wasn't easy, her curiosity outweighed any fears.
- It's my first time going beyond the borders of my country. This has always been my dream. It's an honor for me to study here. There were many challenges and difficulties for me, but I truly enjoy it here and I'm glad I can stay in Banja Luka, she expressed.
Šobin's journey symbolizes not only a pursuit of education but also a courageous exploration of new horizons and the embrace of cultural diversity. As she navigates through this enriching experience, her resilience and enthusiasm serve as an inspiration to others embarking on similar ventures.
