SEVEN PREMIERES BY “TEATAR DERVENTA” IN JUST SIX MONTHS

Derventa – “Teatar Derventa”, operating within the Derventa Cultural Center, has achieved an impressive milestone by staging seven premieres in only six months, fully meeting and even exceeding expectations.

The Mayor of Derventa, Igor Žunić, visited the young artists together with his closest associates and emphasized the importance of their work for the city and its cultural development.

“I am proud of this group of young people, as well as of the team that leads, teaches, and guides them. I am especially pleased that ‘Teatar Derventa’ is beginning to truly come to life, which is clearly reflected in the number of premieres they have produced in such a short period. This should become the foundation of Derventa’s cultural scene. I am confident that their performances and dedication will be recorded in the history of our city and continue to be performed for many years to come,” said Mayor Žunić.

He also stressed that the local community will continue to support the theatre and provide assistance to ensure better working conditions.

The head of “Teatar Derventa,” Siniša Tešanović, noted that the participants are divided into three groups—primary school students, high school students, and adults—and added that the theatre has already had around 20 performances this year.

Mirjana Plisnić, Director of the Derventa Cultural Center, expressed pride in the young performers, highlighting that they have brought something new to the city while also promoting their talent, work, and Derventa itself beyond local borders.
