Medieval Knight Festival 'KASTRUM' to Take Place from June 7th to 9th, Featuring Over 100 Participants. On June 7th at 7:00 PM, participants will gather in front of the Temple with 6 horses supported by the Mounted Police Unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Srpska for a symbolic medieval wedding of King Dragutin and Princess Katalina.
The grand parade of costumed participants will commence around 7:30 PM towards the Kastel, where a medieval village awaits along with the introduction of participants and a concert by the ethno group 'Iva'. Admission is free.
The medieval village will be open on June 8th from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and on June 9th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, offering rich all-day activities such as archery, sword fighting, bohurt battles, and children's play areas.
Simultaneously, an exhibition of costumes from the series 'Nemanjići - The Birth of a Kingdom' will be held at the Stone House, featuring a reprint of the oldest book written in Cyrillic, 'Miroslavljevo Jevanđelje', listed in UNESCO's Memory of the World, as well as the Charter of Kulin Ban, the Charter of Foundation of Hilandar Monastery, the Dublin Four Gospels, and a tribute to Queen Jelena Anžujska through girls dressed in medieval attire. The exhibition will open on June 5th at 7:00 PM and run until June 12th.
