The fair was officially opened by the Mayor of Trebinje, Mirko Ćurić, who wished success to both exhibitors and visitors, thanking them for building, together for 18 years, a beautiful story that makes the whole city proud.

“With this event, the most festive days in Trebinje begin, when we celebrate the Patron Saint’s Day of the City and the Cathedral – the Holy Transfiguration of Our Lord. Wine and honey from Trebinje are brands of this region. For decades, hardworking people have been producing top-quality wine and honey whose quality is beyond doubt,” said Ćurić.

The Director of the Agrarian Fund, Veselin Dutina, stated that this year’s fair gathered 27 exhibitors and 20 winemakers.

“This year we also have participants from Serbia and Montenegro, and the Fair is beginning to gain an international character,” Dutina emphasized.

The Preobraženje celebrations continued with the opening of an exhibition at the Museum of Herzegovina titled “Songs of the Sun in the Colors of Milena”, featuring works from the Milena Pavlović Barili Gallery in Požarevac.

The festive vespers service was held at the Cathedral of the Holy Transfiguration of Our Lord.
