THE SILENCE OF THE SAVA THROUGH THE LENS OF RANKO SMILJANIĆ

The Homeland Museum in Gradiška is presenting the second solo exhibition of photographs by Ranko Smiljanić.

Born in 1975 in Gradiška, Smiljanić began practicing photography as an amateur more than a decade ago. Over time, what started as a hobby grew into a true passion.

His first exhibition was held in 2022, offering visitors a glimpse of Gradiška, as well as other cities and countries captured during his travels.

This time, the focus of the exhibition is the Sava River – the very symbol of Gradiška. Since 2007, the International Sava River Day has been observed on June 1st in all countries within the Sava River basin.

In honor of this occasion, the exhibition is scheduled to open on Monday, June 2 at 8 p.m.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore Ranko Smiljanić’s visual tribute to the Sava for an entire month.
