This year's recipient of the "Paola de Maninkor" award is Spanish artist Pablo Astrain, one of the world’s leading muralists.

The mural is expected to be completed by November 4 of this year and is located on Kralja Petra I Oslobodioca Street, across from the "Dr. Mladen Stojanović" Serbian Cultural and Artistic Society.

The previously painted murals in Prijedor include: "Hatmaker" by Nataša Konjević from Banja Luka, "Transformation" by Attila Samoži Vidam from Hungary, "Garden" by Raul Opree Sadoa from Romania, "City" by the Belgrade art collective "Dim Tim," "Somewhere Between Beginning and End" by Selver Begić from Banja Luka, "Game On" by Ljubiša Pušac from Prijedor, "What’s Inside" by Andrej Žikić Artez from Belgrade, "Sky is the Limit" by Dragan Inđić from Prijedor, "Ordinary Fairy" by Jana Danilović from Belgrade, and "Inner Dynamics" by Nikola Mihajlović Kori from Belgrade.

The "Prijedor City of Murals" project was launched by ULUP in 2013 in memory of Italian artist Paola de Maninkor, who in 1998 painted the first mural in Prijedor on the façade of the Electrotechnical School with the help of children from refugee centers. Initially, works were selected through an international competition, but since 2022, the artist has been chosen through a public call.
