The "Pumpkin Days" event, held for the eleventh consecutive year in East Sarajevo, has gathered around 85 exhibitors from Republika Srpska, the Federation of BiH, and Serbia.
The event is organized by the Citizens' Association "Wake Up" from East Sarajevo, whose president, Roksanda Mičić, expressed gratitude for the support, highlighting that much work, effort, love, and energy has been invested in the organization of this year's event, as well as all previous ones.
Mičić stated that this event is a fair of beverages, food, agriculture, entrepreneurship, and tourism, and that a fair of honey and bee products will be part of the program.
The daily program includes a parade of preschool children under the symbolic name "Dressing in the Colors of Autumn," followed by a rich cultural and entertainment program.
An exhibition of agricultural products, processed goods, and handicrafts is set up, along with a tasting of pumpkin dishes, a competition in knitting warm socks, weighing pumpkins, and the selection of the heaviest, smallest, and most beautiful pumpkin. Other categories include the best literary and artistic work on the theme of autumn, the tastiest pumpkin dish, and the best-decorated stand, followed by the announcement of winners in all categories.
