WHAT THIS YEAR'S LITERARY MEETINGS ON KOZARA BRING

The 52nd Literary Meetings on Kozara will take place from September 2 to September 20. According to the decision of the organizing committee, some changes have been made to adapt the event to modern times, announced Aleksandar Milješić, Head of the Department for Culture, International Cooperation, Sports, and NGOs in the City of Prijedor.

The motto of this year's meetings, "Kozara Remembers," will be the theme that participants will address in their presentations.

"The jury, composed of Vule Žurić as president and members Vladan Bartula and Zdravko Miovčić, will announce the laureate at the third meeting of the organizing committee on Friday, September 6, at 11:00 AM in the City Hall," said Milješić, as reported by Nezavisne Novine.

On Monday, September 2, a small poetry class and a wreath-laying ceremony at the Palež monument, where Skender Kulenović first read "Stojanka, Mother of Knežopolje" in 1942, are scheduled.

On Friday, September 6, the book "We Two Brothers" will be promoted at the Kozara Museum, and on September 9, the "Book on Sreten Stojanović" will be promoted at the same location. On September 13, the Prijedor Theatre will host a poetic and scenic performance of "Mr. Šantić" for high school students, followed by a panel titled "Anniversaries of Serbian Literature" at the City Reading Room.

A literary evening is planned for September 17 at the "Sreten Stojanović" Gallery, and on September 18, participants will visit the "Cyril and Methodius" National Library. The Association for the Preservation of Tradition will also hold a program with participants from the First Literary Meetings on Kozara in 1964 at the Prijedor Theatre.

On September 19, participants will visit schools in Prijedor, Laktaši, and Kozarska Dubica. The central literary evening, titled "Kozara Remembers," will be held at the Prijedor Theatre. The following day, wreaths will be laid at the monument to the fallen fighters of Kozara and the bust of Skender Kulenović on Kozara, followed by a laureate evening at the Prijedor Theatre.
