The baby play “Happiness Is Written With Children”, directed by Aleksandar Pejaković, which the youngest audiences in Banja Luka had the opportunity to enjoy last month at Banski Dvor, has now reached the youngest theatre-goers in Šabac.
At the invitation of the director of the National Theatre in Šabac, Aleksandra Delić, the play—based on the verses of poet Tode Nikoletić—was performed by actors from the Student Theatre and “Little Puppeteers.”
The delegation from Banja Luka was led by Adriana Basara, authorized representative of the Department for Family Care and Demography, who emphasized that this event is yet another confirmation of the successful cooperation and recognition of Banja Luka across the region.
“With free support measures for our citizens introduced by this administration, led by Mayor Draško Stanivuković, the City of Banja Luka has become a model not only for other cities and municipalities in the Republic of Srpska but also in the wider region. Our baby play found its way to Šabac, where, to the delight of the little ones, it was performed three times to packed halls,” Basara said.
She added that this marks the beginning of a new collaboration.
“In this way, Serbs on both sides of the Drina strive to give young generations, from an early age, the opportunity to learn about, love, and embrace their culture and cultural heritage—values they will later preserve and nurture,” Basara emphasized.
During their stay in Šabac, representatives of Banja Luka met with Mina Mijailović, member of the City Council for Family Care, Child Protection and Gender Equality, and with Aleksandra Delić, director of the Šabac Theatre, with whom they discussed sharing experiences and developing future joint projects.
