WINTER MAGIC IN VIŠEGRAD: "WINTER DAYS OF VIŠEGRAD" BEGIN

The end of December brings winter magic to Višegrad with the "Winter Days of Višegrad" event, scheduled for December 29 and 30. This two-day celebration offers a diverse program designed to delight children and entertain visitors of all ages.

The event will open with a performance by children from the "Neven" kindergarten, followed by students from "Vuk Karadžić" Elementary School and "Ivo Andrić" High School. 

Participants will also include residents of the Home for Persons with Disabilities and numerous vocal soloists. Adding to the festive atmosphere will be appearances by fairytale characters, cartoon heroes, and, of course, Santa Claus.

According to Jovana Borovčanin Đurević from the organizing committee, this year’s event introduces a novelty—mobile play areas set up in Andrićgrad. “Children will enjoy attractions such as Barbie’s castle, the Paw Patrol castle, and other surprises that promise endless fun,” Borovčanin Đurević stated, emphasizing the aim to create a holiday fairy tale for everyone.

The festivities kick off on December 29 at 5:00 PM, with the Mayor of Višegrad, Mladen Đurević, officially opening the event. The first day features performances by kindergarten children, competitive games with Alex the Lion, entertainment by Super Mario and Paw Patrol characters, and a musical program featuring professors from the Music Academy in East Sarajevo and Višegrad's own Mirna Karabatak.

"Winter Days of Višegrad" promise a magical atmosphere, making the town an unmissable destination for the holiday season.
