STARS ARE COMING TO PECKA: NEW ASTRONOMY WORKSHOP AT PECKA OUTDOOR FESTIVAL 2026

Pecka Outdoor Festival 2026 is bringing another unique experience for all lovers of nature, science, and the night sky. Beneath a sky full of stars, visitors will have the opportunity to attend a special astronomy lecture and workshop titled “Astrognosy - A Journey Through the Constellations”, designed to take participants on a fascinating journey through the universe.

Anyone who has ever wanted to better understand the night sky, learn how to recognize constellations, or look through a telescope for the very first time will have the chance to gain practical and inspiring knowledge about astronomy.

Through this engaging workshop, participants will discover how the celestial sphere moves, how to locate constellations and celestial objects with the naked eye, how telescopes work, and how modern sky observation is performed. Visitors will also learn about the meteor network in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the process of tracking meteors using cameras and specialized software.

The workshop will be led by Nedim Mujić, a Master of Physics, astronomer, and long-time promoter of science and astronomy among young people. Mujić is one of the initiators of the meteor network in Bosnia and Herzegovina and has participated in numerous astronomy projects and educational programs throughout the region.

Organizers say participants can expect a perfect blend of science, hands-on experience, and fascinating stories about the universe, making this workshop ideal for curious minds, young explorers, and all fans of the night sky.
