The third edition of the Republika Srpska Theater Festival “Ljubica,” dedicated to the first professional actress in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ljubica Stefanović Lazić, will take place from May 17 to 23 at the Cultural Center in Gradiška.
This unique theatrical event once again brings together the top theaters from Republika Srpska in a competition for the title of best play.
The festival bears the name of Ljubica Stefanović Lazić, the first professional actress from Bosnia and Herzegovina, who was born in Gradiška. Her life story and contributions to theatrical art have left an enduring mark, and this festival stands as a tribute to her pioneering work.
This year’s edition will also feature an exhibition dedicated to Milica Babić Andrić, the first formally educated Serbian costume designer and wife of Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić.
As a competitive festival, it will host theatrical performances from across Republika Srpska.
