POETRY EVENING “LET THE LIGHT DEFEAT THE DARKNESS” IN FOČA MARKS THE INTERNATIONAL WHITE CANE DAY

The Inter-Municipal Organization of the Blind and Visually Impaired of Foča, Čajniče, and Kalinovik will host a poetry evening titled “Let the Light Defeat the Darkness” on Thursday, October 16.

The event is being held to mark the International White Cane Day, with the aim of raising public awareness about the challenges and needs of people with visual impairments, as well as celebrating their creativity and artistic expression.

The evening will feature poets Jovica Mijatović and Sara Ašonja from East Sarajevo, along with Jelena Jeremić, Branimir Bato Radović, and Petar Aškraba Zagorski from Foča.

The poetry evening begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Reading Room of the Center for Culture and Information in Foča.

Organizers invite all poetry and culture lovers to attend this inspiring event and support people with visual impairments under the motto — “Let the Light Defeat the Darkness.”
