Trebinje's Mayor, Mirko Ćurić, announced that 15 tourism organizations from the region showcased their offerings at the tourism mini fair.
"Today, we have the opportunity to present our potentials while exploring what other cities' tourism organizations offer. Later today, the first 'Wine Fine 2024' festival will take place, featuring around 40 wine producers presenting their wines, with our local producers preparing food for tasting. We must acknowledge Aca Pejović's magnificent concert last night, marking the season's start, attended by a large audience. I believe we are making significant strides forward, together," said Ćurić.
Silvana Birčanin, representing the Valjevo Tourist Organization, highlighted their excellent collaboration with Trebinje's TO, attending the fair for several years.
"This year, we focus on our wineries, distilleries, the city's natural beauty, and upcoming events. Valjevo is known for its tobacco čvarci, our trademark prepared traditionally for over 200 years. In October, over 100 teams compete, and we invite all Trebinje residents to witness it firsthand," added Birčanin.
Milanka Goranović from the Herceg Novi Tourist Organization expressed their pleasure in participating in Trebinje's summer tourism season opening.
"We feel like hosts here, just as you do when you come to Herceg Novi. Today, we strive to present Herceg Novi in the best light possible. Since last year, we've had a family festival, the first of its kind in the region, with plans to continue in the coming years. We have activities for all ages," Goranović stated.
As part of the event, members of GKUD "Alat" showcased a folk costume fashion show in Ducićeva Street.
