BANJA LUKA COMES ALIVE AT KASTEL DURING NIGHT OF FORTRESSES

Fortress Kastel once again lit up as a vibrant center of culture, history, and entertainment during the Night of Fortresses, an international event in which Banja Luka proudly participates as part of the GIFTSnet project.

A large number of citizens, especially children, gathered at Kastel to enjoy a rich and engaging program that brought the spirit of the past to life while also offering a glimpse into the future. The event was thoughtfully designed for all generations.

The youngest visitors took part in the Little Archaeologists workshop, where they explored the secrets of ancient civilizations. Guests of all ages joined the educational walk The Fortress Through the Centuries, discovering the historical journey of Kastel. A particular highlight was the Knight Games, which revived the medieval spirit with fun and competition.

As the evening progressed, music filled the air at the summer stage, adding to the magical atmosphere and reinforcing Kastel’s role as a place for community gathering and cultural exchange.

This year’s Night of Fortresses also carried a powerful ecological message under the slogan Night of Fortresses Goes Green, reminding us of the importance of preserving our planet through a blend of cultural heritage and contemporary values.

Through music, play, and education, Fortress Kastel once again demonstrated its priceless value – as a living witness of the past and a lasting inspiration for the future.
