PILGRIMAGE TOURS THROUGH HERZEGOVINA – “THE PATH OF SAINT BASIL”

Organized pilgrimage and sightseeing tours to three spiritually significant monasteries in Eastern Herzegovina – Mrkonjići Monastery, Zavala Monastery, and Tvrdoš Monastery – will be available this summer to all visitors and residents of Trebinje.

The tours will take place every Wednesday from July 16 to August 20, 2025, with departures at 8:00 AM.

The participation fee is 5 KM, while children under the age of 15 can join free of charge.

This special program is organized by the Tourist Organization of the City of Trebinje, in cooperation with the Lux Travel agency and with the support of the City of Trebinje.

The aim is to further promote the tourism product “The Path of Saint Basil” and to highlight the potential of religious tourism in the region.

“Through this innovative approach, we aim to bring the ‘Path of Saint Basil’ closer to a wider audience and enrich the city’s summer tourist offer. This is an authentic experience that combines faith, history, and nature,” the organizers said.
