The Mimosa Festival, one of the most popular entertainment and tourism events in the region, has made its way to Banjaluka.
Under the slogan "Herceg Novi Calls – Festival, Sun, Sea," the 56th Mimosa Festival was introduced at Krajina Square with a preview of its vibrant program titled "The Festival Begins."
The festivities kicked off with a performance by 35 majorettes, who paraded through the city, starting at Petar Kočić Park and passing along the pedestrian zone, the Bosna Hotel, Banski Dvor Cultural Center, and the Christ the Savior Cathedral. The parade continued through the “Parkić” area in Gospodska Street and ended at Krajina Square, the main event location.
The event is organized by the Tourist Organization of Herceg Novi, the Cultural Center, and the Municipality of Herceg Novi, with support from the Tourist Organization of Banjaluka and the Banjaluka City Administration as gracious hosts.
The grand opening of the Mimosa Festival is scheduled to take place in Herceg Novi on Friday, February 14. The celebration will begin with a traditional procession featuring majorettes, the City Orchestra, Đenović Local Orchestra, trombonists, and members of the “Maskare” group, marching from Škver to Igalo. The evening will culminate with a concert by two regional music stars, Ana Bekuta and Hanka Paldum.
