The National Theatre from Belgrade, one of the most prestigious cultural institutions in the region, will officially open this year’s Teatar Fest “Petar Kočić” with a grand ballet evening titled “Night of Ballet”, taking place on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 8:00 PM in Borik Hall.
Audiences can look forward to an exceptional selection of the most iconic scenes from classical ballet masterpieces. Condensed versions of “Swan Lake”, “La Bayadère”, and “Le Corsaire” will be performed, offering a 1-hour-and-40-minute journey through the very essence of what makes ballet magnificent: emotional power, visual splendor, and technical virtuosity.
Through the most moving and thrilling moments of these beloved works, the ballet ensemble of the National Theatre Belgrade will lead the audience from the tragic love and dreamlike realm of swans in Swan Lake, through the exotic landscapes of India in La Bayadère, to the passionate, adventurous tale of pirates in Le Corsaire.
The ensemble brings to the stage a refined blend of elegance, strength, and expression in a format carefully adapted to modern audiences while preserving the depth and spirit of each individual piece.
Given the festive and formal nature of the evening, an elegant dress code is recommended. Public parking will be available near the venue, and ticket prices range from 50 to 150 KM. Due to high interest, advance purchase is strongly advised.
“Night of Ballet” offers a rare opportunity to experience the richness and grandeur of ballet art in one place, set in a celebratory atmosphere worthy of a major artistic event.
