Throughout December, theatre lovers at the National Theatre of the Republic of Srpska (NP RS) can look forward to a diverse and vibrant repertoire.
On the Main Stage, the premiere of Milutin Bojić’s play “Mrs. Olga” will be held on December 10, with the first reprise scheduled for the following day, December 11.
This production is a joint project between the National Theatre of the Republic of Srpska and the National Theatre in Belgrade, marking the second collaboration between the two institutions after the successful staging of “The Tragedy Burlesque” directed by Jagoš Marković.
“The creative team behind ‘Mrs. Olga’ includes dramaturge Đorđe Kosić, set designer Dragana Purković Macan, costume designer Velimirka Damjanović, composer Nevena Glušica, and Milica Cerović, who is in charge of stage movement. The production is led by Miloš Golubović, Olivera Živković, and Nikola Đaković. Stage managers are Ana Zorić and Vesna Maksimović, while prompters are Ljubica Raković and Svjetlana Vranjković,” NP RS announced.
The cast features Nela Mihailović, Ljubiša Savanović, Nikolina Friganović, Aleksandar Vučković, Iva Milanović, and Smiljana Marinković.
The audience will also be able to enjoy “Rails,” “Masters, Masters,” and the one-act opera “The Badger Before the Court.”
On the “Petar Kočić” Stage, the premiere of the play “Good Luck to Us, Adi” is scheduled for December 24, with the first and second reprises on December 26 and 27.
“The play is written and directed by young author Dajana Josipović, who created the dramatic text inspired by the film ‘Good Luck to You, Leo Grande!’. The dramaturge is Ivana Lovrić, set designer Dunja Kostić, costume designer Ivana Ristić, while music and sound design are done by Miloš Aćimović and Luka Lukić,” NP RS explained.
Stage movement is overseen by Una Đorđević, the language editor is Nataša Kecman, and the producer is Nikola Đaković.
“The cast includes actress Nataša Ivančević, Ilija Ivanović, a fourth-year acting student at the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka, and young actress Ana Vinčić,” the national theatre added.
Additionally, the “Petar Kočić” Stage will feature performances of “Steel Magnolias,” “Arabian Night,” “The House,” and “Neither Fish Nor Meat.”
