The award was bestowed by the Union of Associations of National Liberation War Veterans of Serbia (SUBNOR) in recognition of the society's significant contributions to preserving the legacy of Lepa Radić. This honor was part of the celebration marking the 70th anniversary of CKUD's establishment.

The award was presented by General Major Vidosav Kovačević, the president of SUBNOR Serbia, who highlighted the immense significance of a cultural and artistic society bearing the name of the national heroine Lepa Radić. Kovačević emphasized that this contributes greatly to maintaining the anti-fascist traditions of the Serbian people. He expressed his firm belief that the award had been given to the right hands, as the work and efforts of CKUD "Lepa Radić" are truly impressive.

Davor Simišić, president of CKUD "Lepa Radić," expressed his gratitude to SUBNOR Serbia for the prestigious recognition.

"For our society, it is encouraging when our dedication, work, and results are acknowledged and praised, especially by such significant institutions and organizations. This recognition motivates us to work even harder to fulfill our core goals and tasks, which include preserving the memory of Lepa Radić," said Simišić.

In recent years, CKUD "Lepa Radić" has carried out numerous activities and initiatives aimed at preserving the legacy of the national hero Lepa Radić. From their regular events to launching the project for the construction of a memorial complex in Gašnica, dedicated to Lepa Radić, the society continues to honor her memory. Last year, they commemorated the 80th anniversary of her tragic death, and 2025 will mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of this national heroine, whose name the society proudly carries.
