The agreement was signed by Veljko Golijanin, Director of the Ravna Planina Ski Center, and Li Zihin, President of the Chinese company, at the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in China.

According to a statement from the Embassy, this will be the first ski facility of its kind in the region, allowing professional athletes, sports clubs, and recreational skiers to enjoy skiing all year round.

The ski hall is planned to cover 16,000 square meters and will be powered by renewable energy sources. It will meet all global standards for this type of sports infrastructure.

Ravna Planina, already known for its wide range of winter and summer activities, will position itself as a leading year-round tourist and sports destination in the Balkans with the construction of this facility.

“This collaboration represents a major step forward for the development of winter tourism in Republic of Srpska and the wider region,” the statement said.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to China, Siniša Berjan, the head coach of the Olympic Alpine Snowboard Team, Jurica Stanković, as well as representatives from Eternal Star.

During his visit to China, Golijanin toured several indoor ski facilities and the largest snow and ice equipment factory in Asia, located in Tianjin. The equipment from this factory was also used during the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.

Eternal Star, headquartered in Beijing, is a global leader in the construction and management of both indoor and outdoor snow and ice recreational facilities. The company has completed over 90 ski-related projects worldwide, including the world’s largest indoor ski center located in the Wanda Mao Amusement Park in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province.
