OVER 200 ARTWORKS TO BE FEATURED AT CHARITY AUCTION IN BANJA LUKA

According to the organizers, this third edition of the event titled "Art That Someone Needs" promises to be the largest and most diverse one yet.

"First of all, more than 60 artists and collectives are taking part, which is a number we're truly proud of. They've donated more pieces than ever before to support the cause. And for the first time, we’re expanding the range of art forms on display – there will be an animated film screening, poetry readings, and even face painting for kids," said Ana Stanarević, a student at the Academy of Arts and a tattoo artist.

In addition to new features, the auction will also bring back proven audience favorites. The public will be able to bid on a variety of items including photographs, paintings, books, comics, illustrations, music albums, designer clothing, and other unique artistic pieces.

Graphic designer Nikola Rodić promises a dynamic and engaging event. “Visitors can purchase pieces by established artists such as Nataša Konjević, Tea Jagodić, Aleksandar Čavić, Ružica Panić, Borislav Brezo, and even music groups like Sopot and Revolt. There will also be plenty of offerings geared towards younger attendees, such as CDs and branded merchandise from rapper Đorđe, tattoo and piercing vouchers, and VIP tickets for the Fresh Wave Festival,” he explained.

Guests will also have the chance to get custom portraits from the Dragaš Drawing School led by Renato Rakić, watch a dance performance by Sofija Đurić choreographed by Teodora Radivojević, or bid on a designer dress by Treehana.

"Thanks to the overwhelming enthusiasm of all participants and the support of sponsors Tropic and Moj Market, we’re confident that no one will leave this event empty-handed or bored. We’re proud that it’s the artists themselves who are once again organizing the event – from collecting the works to running the program, which will be hosted this Friday by dancer Tamara Đaković," said Nenad Bosnić, author of the novel Trosvijet.

The charity auction "Art That Someone Needs" was first launched in 2023. Since then, it has raised 15,412 KM, all of which has been donated to the citizens’ association Mozaik prijateljstva to support the "Obrok ljubavi" public kitchen. Organizers are sharing updates and event details through their Facebook and Instagram pages.
