MEDICAL STUDENTS AT THE SERVICE OF BANJA LUKA CITIZENS

In the organization of the SaMSIC IFMSA Banja Luka Committee – an association of medical students dedicated to improving public health through knowledge and volunteer work – the Health Fair 2025 is being held under the slogan “A Health Corner in the Temples of Culture.”

On the first day, the fair takes place at the Youth Center, where visitors can explore thematic zones dedicated to mental health, healthy nutrition, physical activity, and disease prevention. Guests are also offered free health checkups, consultations, and interactive activities.

In the evening, a panel discussion on health preservation will be held, featuring inspiring speakers from the fields of medicine and public health. Adding a special emotional touch to the night, a therapeutic choir performance will demonstrate the healing connection between music and mental health.

On the second day, in the morning, a team of medical students and doctors will visit the National Theatre of the Republic of Srpska to conduct preventive examinations and provide consultations for employees.

“Through this two-day event, SaMSIC continues to demonstrate how medical students can be a driving force of positive change — connecting knowledge, humanity, and unity in the service of health promotion and preventive medicine,” the organizers emphasized.
