The boys from FK Spartak and FK Borac Banja Luka have emerged victorious at the inaugural “Step of Champions” tournament, held last weekend and organized by FK Krajina in the Rosulje neighborhood of Banja Luka.
After a full day of competition, the Spartak team in the 2013/2014 age group came out on top, defeating the host team, FK Krajina, in the final. FK Lauš secured third place, while Mladost from Zalužani finished fourth.
In the 2015/2016 category, the title went to FK Borac, who triumphed over FK Lauš in the final. Third place was claimed by FK Džaja, with FK Krajina finishing fourth.
The top teams were awarded well-deserved trophies and certificates, and many participants agreed that — despite being the first edition — the tournament was one of the best organized youth football events in Banja Luka, the largest city in Republika Srpska.
It was an excellent opportunity for young football talents to showcase their skills and to enjoy camaraderie with peers from other clubs.
Organizers have already promised that the tournament will return next year.
FK Krajina, known for its dedication to youth development, continues its tradition of investing in the future of football through events like this — creating an environment where tomorrow’s champions can thrive.
