"Pošte Srpske" has issued a special edition postage stamp featuring world boxing champion Sara Ćirković from Bratunac.

Born in 2004, Sara Ćirković trains with the "Obilić" Boxing Club in Zvornik and competes for the national team of Serbia. She began her boxing career at an early age and achieved remarkable success in just a year and a half, quickly rising to the top of European and world boxing.

In November 2022, Ćirković claimed victory at the World Championships in Benidorm, earning Serbia its first medal in over two decades.

She went on to win gold at the European U22 Championship in November 2023.

In March 2024, she qualified for the Olympic Games through a qualification tournament in Italy. Just a few weeks later, she secured a bronze medal at the World Championships held in Niš, reaching the semifinals.

These outstanding achievements have positioned Ćirković among the elite in international boxing, according to a statement from the "Obilić" Boxing Club.

The commemorative stamp, designed by Sanja Kuzmanović, was released on September 5 as part of a special edition series titled “Young Athletes.”
