At the Banjski Dvor City Hall in Banja Luka, Mihaela Šumić's debut novel "Čovjek vuk" was officially presented to the public. During the promotional event, the author engaged in a conversation about the work with the book’s editor, Marija Pejić.

Mihaela Šumić has already established herself as a prominent figure in literature, having previously published a poetry collection titled "Nekoliko sitnih uboda" (Imprimatur, 2020), which won the "Čučkova knjiga" award for the best debut book published in 2020. She also authored the short story collection "Herbarij svete smrti" (Imprimatur, 2021), which earned her the regional literary award "Štefica Cvek," alongside eight other titles. Additionally, she released the poetry collection "Imenik Laure Carvalho" (Imprimatur, 2022), and now, her first novel, "Čovjek vuk" (Imprimatur, 2024).

Mihaela has been nominated as one of the 13 candidates for the 2025 European Union Prize for Literature, which honors exceptional contemporary authors across Europe.

The book promotion was organized in collaboration with the "Imperativ" Association for the Promotion and Popularization of Literature.

Born in 1998 in Banja Luka, Mihaela Šumić completed her general high school education at the Catholic School Center "Blaženi Ivan Merz."

In 2012, she began writing poetry and columns for the Mexican magazine LUF.

Her poetry, as well as translations into English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Croatian, has been published on several online platforms.
