The Open International Athletics Championship of Trebinje was held this weekend, organized by the Athletics Club “Leotar”, whose athletes achieved remarkable results, winning a total of 40 medals – 17 gold, 10 silver, and 13 bronze.
Gold medals were won by Jovana Kraljević (vortex throw), Nina Lukić (high jump), Jovana Knežević (shot put), Jakov Medan (vortex throw and 60 m), Ana Kraljević (60 m hurdles and long jump), Lukijan Ponjević and Emilija Miljanović (60 m), Lana Đorđić (60 m and long jump), Duško Runjevac (high jump), Srna Danojlić (200 m), Andreja Tanasijević (800 m), Jelena Spaić (long jump), and the 4x60 m relay team – Nina Lukić, Stela Glavaš, Emilija Miljanović, and Ena Nogoštić.
Silver medals were won by Mina Vučinić and Emilija Miljanović (50 m hurdles), Stela Glavaš and Una Miš (high jump), Helena Asanović (60 m), Gala Tasić (60 m and 200 m), Dea Nogoštić (60 m and long jump), as well as the 4x100 m relay (Anastasija Mitrović, Marija Petrović, Lana Kandić, Ana Kraljević) and the 4x60 m relay (Lana Đorđić, Milica Kraljević, Mina Vučinić, Helena Vučković).
Bronze medals went to Milica Kraljević (50 m hurdles), Jelena Spaić (50 m hurdles), Lana Kandić (60 m hurdles and 200 m), Sara Đorđić (60 m), Nikolija Rajković (vortex throw), Anastasija Mitrović (high jump), Helena Vučković (60 m and 200 m), Marija Petrović (60 m and long jump), Teodora Medan (600 m), and Stela Glavaš (long jump).
The organizers emphasized that this event was a major step forward for both the club and the city of Trebinje.
“It wasn’t easy to organize such a large and demanding competition, but thanks to teamwork, dedication, and our love for athletics, everything went perfectly. We are deeply grateful to all sponsors for their support, as well as to the clubs that took part in our meeting. Every discipline started on schedule, with many great performances, new personal bests, and strong competition. All participants – children, coaches, and parents – expressed their wish to come back next year to compete and enjoy this unique sports event,” said coach Nikola Boljanović.
The championship gathered over 600 young athletes from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Montenegro.
As part of the meeting, the fourth round of the Herzegovina League was also held, where members of AK “Leotar” won an additional 60 medals – 26 gold, 14 silver, and 20 bronze.
