Seventeen-year-old Lazar Lajić from Gradiška, regarded as one of the most talented young footballers in the Balkans, has signed a professional contract with Belgrade’s Crvena zvezda (Red Star).
Lajić, who plays as both a right and left back, began his career at FK Kozara and the Stars Football School in Gradiška. He later joined Borac Banja Luka, where he won the Bosnian Championship in the youth category.
After his successful spell in Banja Luka, Lajić spent eight months with FK Sarajevo, signing his first amateur contract with the “Bordo” team. He was on the verge of signing a professional deal there when a call came from the Belgrade giant—a call no young player would ever refuse.
Joining the “red-and-whites” represents the fulfillment of a childhood dream for this hard-working and ambitious player, who has already shown in his first appearances that he can compete on equal footing with top regional talents.
Throughout his young career, Lajić has left a mark in every club he played for, consistently proving his talent and potential. With his impressive performances and dedication, he has rightfully earned the reputation of being one of the brightest football prospects from the region—a name that the football world will surely be hearing a lot more about in the years to come.
