A CITY TO FOLLOW – TOP STUDENTS AWARDED 5,000 KM EACH

The City Administration of Prnjavor has awarded 5,000 KM each to three of its top students – Danilo Božunović, Lara Lukanović, and Kristijan Jović – in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements.

The official reception for the students was hosted by Mayor Darko Tomaš and President of the City Assembly Dražen Mikić. Mayor Tomaš emphasized that the student award program has been active since 2017 and that a total of 31 students have been recognized so far.

He congratulated this year’s recipients on their exceptional results and dedication, highlighting the importance of continuous excellence.

“Those who received these awards in previous years are now very successful members of our local community and beyond. We want all young people to know that the city follows, rewards, and encourages success,” said Tomaš.

Kristijan Jović, a third-year student at the Faculty of Sciences in Novi Sad, expressed his gratitude to the mayor and the city administration for motivating not only him but also future generations to strive for excellence.

Danilo Božunović, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Banja Luka, said he was honored that the local community had recognized their efforts and encouraged their further academic and professional development.

“After completing my studies, I want to return to my hometown and contribute to its development as a way of giving back for the support we have received,” Božunović said.

Lara Lukanović, a third-year student of Music Theory and Pedagogy at the Academy of Arts in Banja Luka, thanked the City for promoting students and highlighting youth success, describing it as a strong motivation for her future professional growth.

Through initiatives like this, Prnjavor continues to position itself as a city that values knowledge, effort, and young talent.
