GACKO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS INVITE PUBLIC TO A PHILOSOPHY CLASS MARKING WORLD PHILOSOPHY DAY

Senior students of Gacko High School, under the mentorship of professor Jovana Petković Aćimović, are inviting the public to a special event on November 20 at 1 PM—a public class titled “Philosophy: A Love for Wisdom and Truthfulness”, which will take place at the Cultural Center in Gacko.

The event is organized in honor of World Philosophy Day, an international celebration established by UNESCO to highlight the importance of philosophical thinking for the development of individuals, cultures, and societies.

The students wish to show that young people do think deeply about essential topics—truth, justice, morality, and the role of individuals in a rapidly changing world. Through short presentations and discussion, they will demonstrate how philosophy helps them navigate challenges, question assumptions, and understand life with more clarity and curiosity.

Their message is simple: philosophy is not just a school subject, but a space of freedom, reflection, and courage to ask meaningful questions.

All community members are welcome to join and support young people who choose to think—and to share their thoughts out loud.
