The team won five gold, one silver, and one bronze medal, along with one fourth-place finish.

Gold medals were claimed by Mihailo and Mile Đumić, Lea Vujasin, Marija Palić, and Dane Marjanović. Igor Petrović earned silver, while Matej Marković took bronze. David Menićanin finished in fourth place.

Team coach Dragan Đumić stated that this achievement is yet another confirmation of the years of hard work and dedication put in by Banja Luka’s young athletes. He noted that the team had been preparing for this competition for more than a year and that he is extremely proud of their performance in North Macedonia.

“This is the result of hard work and strong commitment. Our strategic approach to competitions and persistence have finally paid off. We often had our competitors fight in higher categories to gain more experience. While this didn’t always bring immediate results, it proved beneficial in the long run,” said Đumić.

Mihailo Đumić stood out as a true sensation at the event. He won all of his matches convincingly, never once being taken down, clearly demonstrating that a bright future lies ahead for him in the sport.

“Competitions are always tougher because opponents are unfamiliar. But it looks like the hard work paid off. Although this wasn’t my first tournament, I felt a rush of adrenaline unlike anything I’ve felt before. It may have looked easy, but there’s an incredible amount of work behind it,” Mihailo Đumić said.

Young Igor Petrović faced off against European and world champion Alessio Pasquali in what was Pasquali’s farewell match. Petrović said it was an honor to be part of the moment.

“Alessio is a true champion who’s been competing for about 15 years. He’s won everything there is to win and is now continuing his career as a coach and instructor. I was honored to be part of his final official fight,” Petrović shared.

The female fighters also shined—Lea Vujasin and Marija Palić delivered dominant performances and defeated their opponents in impressive fashion.
