A humanitarian appeal has been launched to help nine-year-old Kristijan Kosić, a pupil at the “Desanka Maksimović” Elementary School, who has been diagnosed with a brain tumor and urgently needs treatment.
The school’s social worker, Bojana Filipović, emphasized that “when one child is in pain, no one should remain on the sidelines.”
“A battle lies ahead of him that no child should ever have to fight. A brain tumor surgery is yet to be performed. His chance for life and a childhood without pain depends on the upcoming operation and continued treatment abroad. One family cannot finance and endure this struggle alone. That is why today I am not asking for a miracle. I am asking for humanity and kindness in each of us,” Filipović wrote in a Facebook post.
The family is appealing to all people of good will to support Kristijan’s treatment through donations.
