BANJA LUKA WOMEN ON A HUMANITARIAN MISSION WITHOUT BORDERS

Katarina Šipka and Jovana Cumbo, recreational athletes from Banja Luka, will take part on May 25, 2025, in the unique race “Basel Halfmarathon – 3-Länder-Lauf,” which connects three countries.

Their participation carries special meaning, as they have launched a humanitarian campaign titled “Health Beyond Borders,” dedicated to helping children suffering from malignant diseases through the parents’ association “Iskra” Banja Luka.

The campaign symbolically invites citizens to “buy a kilometer,” allowing anyone to donate 20 KM for each kilometer Katarina and Jovana run on behalf of these brave young fighters.

Running through three countries – Germany, Austria, and Switzerland – without physical borders, the race sends a powerful message: the fight for children's health must know no boundaries.
