NIGHT OF FORTRESSES IN BANJALUKA: A JOURNEY THROUGH KNIGHTLY PAST AND GREEN FUTURE!

As part of the international project GIFTSnet, Banjaluka will once again become the cultural hub of the region, hosting the Night of Fortresses event, which will take place on May 9th at the iconic Kastel Fortress.

For all visitors, from the youngest to the oldest, this event offers a true journey through the past as well as a glimpse into the future. Starting at 5:00 PM, the Kastel Fortress will come to life with a rich and diverse program:

5:00 PM – Opening and Workshop "Little Archaeologists"

The youngest will have the chance to become real little explorers, uncovering the secrets of past times through fun and educational workshops.

5:45 PM – Workshop "The Fortress Through the Centuries"

Dive into history and learn all about the significance of the Kastel Fortress through an educational workshop that will guide you through key moments in the past of this important historical monument.

6:15 PM – Knightly Games

History and entertainment lovers can enjoy knightly games that will bring a touch of medieval atmosphere – these timeless games will awaken a competitive spirit!

7:00 PM – Music Program at the Summer Stage

At the beautiful summer stage, visitors will be able to enjoy music that will complement this unforgettable evening.

But that's not all! Throughout the event, Kastel Fortress will be filled with interactive installations that will allow visitors to experience firsthand how life inside the ancient walls once looked. Both young and old will get to enjoy a true time-travel experience!

This year's message is also particularly important – Night of Fortresses Goes Green.

This year, the program blends cultural heritage with environmental awareness, emphasizing the importance of preserving our planet. Fortresses connect us not only through time and culture but also through our shared responsibility for the future!
