Banja Luka cameraman and photographer Tomas Damjanović continues to delight audiences with his stunning shots of the largest city of Republika Srpska, which he regularly shares on social media.
This
November, Tomas captured a new series of breathtaking aerial scenes of Banja
Luka, once again showcasing his signature style and remarkable sense for
detail.
“Life
with a camera is more beautiful and never boring,” Damjanović told our portal
earlier, a sentiment that shines through in every frame he creates.
Among the many motifs that inspire him, the Banja Luka fortress Kastel holds a special place. As the oldest historical landmark in the city on the Vrbas, Kastel stands proudly in the very heart of town, carrying centuries of stories within its stone walls.
Its
rich past stretches from traces of a Neolithic settlement to findings from the
Roman, Slavic, and Ottoman periods. Once a powerful military fortification,
Kastel served as a guardian of the Vrbas valley, protecting it from enemy
incursions throughout history.
“Tell
me, what a gentleman of a fortress this is. If Kastel were a man, he’d be Bryan
Ferry, I guarantee it,” Damjanović wrote on his Facebook profile, adding that
his photographs are available as canvas or plexiglass prints for anyone who
wishes to bring a piece of Banja Luka into their home.
