Banjaluka can proudly showcase its brand-new parks and riverfront promenades along the Vrbas River, which have quickly become popular gathering spots for residents.
The “Oslobođenja” Park, located on the site of the former “Kozara” cinema, has rapidly turned into a hub of social activity, where Banjaluka residents enjoy open-air movie screenings. The “Book Park,” featuring a monument to Kulin Ban, preserves the Serbian identity and literacy of the region.
Additionally, the new ambient area with a monument to Stefan Tvrtko I Kotromanić, located at the “Ekvator” roundabout, has drawn visitors' attention with its lush greenery and a fountain with eight cascades symbolizing the waterfalls of the Vrbas River.
The final touches are being put on the Cyrillic Park, while the first phase of construction of the city's largest park near “Delta Planet” is nearing completion. This phase includes an artificial lake, walking paths, an outdoor gym, and a dog park.
The new promenades along the Vrbas River have further enriched the city, bringing people closer to nature and reconnecting them with the river.
