Banja Luka Has Had Its Most Successful Spring-Summer Tourist Season So Far, with a Record Number of Tourists Enjoying Unforgettable Festivals, Events, and Other Gatherings Held in Our City.
Milada Šukalo, the mayor’s adviser, highlighted that, compared to previous years when spring was primarily reserved for events in Banja Luka, now every season in our city offers numerous attractions, adding a unique charm for all who visit.
- As for the 'Banja Luka Summer,' which we closed last weekend with spectacular concerts on the Vrbas River, we aimed to make it focused on musical activities, in contrast to the large festivals that marked the spring. We hosted several concerts, both on the banks of the Vrbas and, for the first time, on the water, which attracted a large number of visitors. Additionally, throughout the summer, we offered free workouts in 'Mladen Stojanović' Park, such as Zumba, yoga, and fitness classes, which our citizens could attend free of charge, said Šukalo.
According to her, one of the highlights of this summer was the new promenades and beaches along the Vrbas River.
- A large number of residents and visitors attended the events we organized to celebrate the opening of the newly renovated beaches and promenades. Citizens feel the energy that the city wants to create, and they actively participate in everything we do, Šukalo emphasized.
She also noted that, alongside organizing events and festivals, the city is working on numerous infrastructure projects and measures to support the citizens.
- The work of the current city administration has been crowned this summer by completing several key projects. A large number of infrastructure projects were realized during the summer, such as the creation of new landmarks like the first viewpoint on Banj Hill, new kilometers of promenades along the Vrbas, the illumination of Kastel, new parks such as the 'Book Park' and the 'Liberation Park' near Kozara cinema, where we already have outdoor movie screenings, and many other projects. All of this has contributed to the new tourism offerings in Banja Luka, said adviser Šukalo, adding that the city administration has recognized the importance of promoting the traditional Dajak boat and supported its further promotion.
