“This part of the city was neglected, but it's already becoming a tradition to turn such places into beautiful oases for enjoyment. Soon, we will have a true sports and recreational complex here. The value of the work will be around 1.3 million KM,” said Banja Luka Mayor Draško Stanivuković.

The complex will include a wide range of sports facilities—an area for professional athletes, an outdoor gym, a children's playground, and fields for football, handball, and basketball, complete with stands for a thousand spectators.

“This will be an entirely new venue for future competitions, festivals, and concerts. We are ambitious about completing this project as soon as possible, depending on weather conditions. We want all the children from neighborhoods like Centar, Borik, and Aleje to have a place where they can truly enjoy,” added Stanivuković.

The space will be unique as it will also feature a relaxation zone for sunbathing and unwinding, as well as a roller-skating area. The mayor also announced that Banja Luka will soon get a skate park near the "Obilićevo" sports hall.
