The summer concerts along the Vrbas River, a new initiative introduced by the city administration this year, received a very positive response from the people of Banja Luka, as confirmed by a recent survey conducted through the City of Banja Luka's Viber community.
In the survey, more than 750 members of the Viber community voted, naming the riverfront concerts as their favorite event of the season. This was the first time these concerts were organized, drawing a large crowd of visitors.
The “Banja Luka Winter” festival, also known as Zimzobal, took second place, while the “TrotoArt” Street Performers Festival ranked third.
Other popular events organized by the city administration, which also contributed to record tourist numbers, include traditional and spiritual gatherings, the Autumn Flower, Harvest, and Honey Festival, Banja Luka Carnival, Kočić’s Days, and the Grand Opening Festival.
Every season, the city on the Vrbas offers a variety of activities for locals and visitors alike. This year’s spring/summer tourist season was the most successful so far, attracting record numbers of tourists who enjoyed memorable festivals, events, and other activities held across Banja Luka.
Many locals also attended these events, which included celebrations marking the opening of newly renovated beaches, promenades, and additional landmarks like the first viewpoint on Banj Hill, the illuminated Kastel Fortress, and several new parks.
