On Monday, April 22nd, Banja Luka will celebrate its City Day with a grand cake and spectacular program, inviting both locals and numerous guests to join in the festivities.
Authorities invite citizens to gather at 6:00 PM in "Mladen Stojanović" Park to collectively commemorate this important day for Banja Luka. Alongside the largest cake, prepared by Banja Luka chefs in collaboration with "Kuhinjica," attendees can expect an entertaining program, featuring performances by the Banja Luka Tamburitza Orchestra.
It's worth noting that the City Day celebrations will continue in the following days. On Wednesday, April 24th, the program will commence with tributes to local heroes, including laying wreaths at four locations across the city.
The central wreath-laying ceremony at the Memorial to Fallen Fighters of the National Liberation War, located in the Square of Fallen Fighters, is scheduled for 12:00 PM.
Additionally, representatives of the City of Banja Luka will lay wreaths and pay respects to the victims of the High Treason Trial at the Sveti Pantelija Cemetery at 9:00 AM. At 10:00 AM, wreaths will be laid at the Monument to Fallen Krajina Soldiers, followed by wreath-laying at the Monument to the 12 Babies in the city center at 11:00 AM.
In honor of City Day, apart from the traditional official receptions for delegations, a ceremonial academy will be held on April 24th at the "Borik" Sports Hall.
