The first day of summer, Friday, June 21st, will transform the riverside of Camp Vrbas into a natural stage for “Piknik” – a day-to-night event organized by “Freshwave” that celebrates music, community, and pure summer euphoria.
From
noon until 3 AM, nearly 15 hours of non-stop music will be curated by carefully
selected performers: Inner Sense, Nebs Jack, Una Andrea, Surrender Discipline,
and Stefan Ivanković. Each artist will bring their distinctive sound and
energy, crafting a soundtrack for the day under the treetops and stars. Expect
a journey through the vibrant electronic scene – from laid-back daytime rhythms
to high-energy night-time peaks.
During
the day, visitors can relax in the chill zone, stretch out on picnic blankets,
socialize, and enjoy the natural surroundings. For the more adventurous, water-based
games will offer a dose of adrenaline, with the most skilled participant
winning the grand prize – an electric scooter.
After
sunset, the riverside campsite will transform into an open-air dancefloor as
the speakers take control and the Vrbas “Kamp” becomes an electrifying
nighttime venue.
Entry to “Piknik” is free until 5 PM, after which it’s just 10 KM to join the festivities.
“With
this format, we want to remind everyone of the true essence of a festival –
community, nature, and music. ‘Piknik’ is a chance to feel the spirit of summer
in its most authentic form. On the banks of the Vrbas, without big stages or
effects, we’re returning to the core festival experience. At the same time,
we’re setting the mood for ‘Freshwave 2025’, which will bring the largest
production and artist lineup yet this August,” the Freshwave team stated.
“Piknik”
is more than just an event – it’s the announcement and warm-up for the
spectacle to come in August, when the “Freshwave” festival takes place from
August 7th to 9th at Kastel Fortress. With names like Kobosil and Pablo Bozzi
already confirmed, the festival promises to push the boundaries of the regional
scene. Joining these headliners will be regional stars like Hiljson Mandela,
Vojko V, Beogradski Sindikat, and many more.
