"GAMBIT" ANNOUNCES A NEW CHESS SPECTACLE IN THE LARGEST CITY OF REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

The GAMBIT Chess Club Banja Luka is proud to announce a new and exciting chess event – a unique competition dedicated to children and youth up to 20 years of age.

The 5th International Chess Festival "Banja Luka Trophy 2025" will take place from August 30 to 31, in the elegant Crystal Hall of Hotel “Bosna”, located in the heart of Banja Luka.

The festival will feature two competition formats – individual and team, across a total of nine separate tournaments, promising intense and high-level championship battles for all participants.

A standout addition to this year’s program is the evening open-air chess spectacle "8th GAMBIT BLITZ 2025", to be held in a local park, offering a prize fund of 2,710 KM across 23 awards. Participation is open to all registered players who apply in time.

Participation fees for the team tournament are:

80 KM for teams registering and paying by August 25, 2025

120 KM for those registering and paying between August 25 and August 27, 2025

What sets this festival apart are the professional playing conditions, including a fully air-conditioned Crystal Hall, accreditation-only access to the playing area, and a separate waiting room for parents, coaches, and companions – ensuring maximum focus and top organizational standards, in line with European and World Championship protocols.
