"FRESHWAVE" IS NOT JUST A FESTIVAL — IT'S AN EXPERIENCE THAT CONNECTS PEOPLE

The grand finale of the Freshwave Festival at Kastel Fortress exploded in energy, unforgettable performances, and moments that will echo through time. Hiljson Mandela ignited the crowd on the Live Stage, Beogradski Sindikat took the audience to its boiling point, and techno queen Nicole Moudaber transformed the fortress into a global sound epicenter in the final hours of the night. The fiery conclusion of this three-day spectacle — filled with dance, dazzling light effects, and nonstop beats until dawn — once again confirmed Freshwave as the biggest summer music event in the region.

From the very beginning, as the gates opened, it was clear this would be a night to remember. Hiljson Mandela hit the Live Stage with full force, and the audience answered back just as loudly.

“The stage is massive, stunning, and Freshwave outdoes itself every year. I'm glad to be part of a festival that keeps raising the bar,” said Hiljson after his performance.

But the real quake at Kastel came when the iconic Beogradski Sindikat stepped on stage. Thousands jumped to the rhythm of their songs, sang every word, and returned the energy tenfold. The band felt the connection and gave back with a performance that will go down in festival history — raw, powerful, and honest, just as expected.

“There are very few festivals like this in the region, which is why Freshwave continues to thrive. There's a wild energy here, and you invest in music. For bands like us, it's an honor to perform on such a grand stage. With this kind of sound system and organization, we can shine even more — and that's very important for us as Sindikat,” emphasized Ognjen Janković of Beogradski Sindikat.

After the hip-hop storm, the Main Stage delivered its own spectacle. Nebs Jack opened the night with a set blending deep bass lines and melodic progressions, leading the crowd into a techno journey. The atmosphere intensified with Mladen Tomić, a master of precise build-ups, who steadily raised the adrenaline to a boiling point, setting the perfect stage for the moment everyone had been waiting for — the arrival of techno royalty Nicole Moudaber.

Nicole took full control from the first beat. Her hypnotic groove, meticulous transitions, and a raw energy that pulsed through every corner of the fortress kept the crowd in a trance until the last second. After her set, Dejan Milićević wrapped up the night, crafting music for those who refused to let the night end.

Meanwhile, other stages pulsed with life. The Nirvana Stage created an intimate, almost magical atmosphere with its psy and experimental sounds, enhanced by light installations that transformed it into a world of its own. The Energy Stage carried a constant charge through local and regional DJs, while the Funk You Stage brought house and funk rhythms that kept the dancefloor packed from the first beat to the last.

THREE DAYS THAT MADE FESTIVAL HISTORY

Freshwave 2025 kicked off spectacularly with the adrenaline-fueled Red Bull FMX Jam, followed by a jaw-dropping set from Kobosil, and Aiden, who sustained the energy through the end of the first night. Day two belonged to Prti Bee Gee, Vojko V, who lit up the crowd with humor and hits, and techno masters Pablo Bozzi and Pavel Petrov. The third night brought it all together — a fusion of hip-hop firepower, techno mastery, and an atmosphere that will be talked about for years.

When the lights finally dimmed and the last beats faded into the early morning, one thing was certain — Freshwave is not just a music festival. It’s an experience that connects people, erases boundaries, and raises the bar every year.

“See you next year — stronger, bigger, and bringing global trends straight to the heart of Banja Luka,” said the organizers.
