The Street Performers Festival "TrotoArt" will be held from June 9th to June 15th this year, on the sidewalks, promenades, and parks of the largest city in the Republic of Srpska.
In this regard, a call has been issued to all street performers and those who would like to become one for this occasion, to register for participation in the festival. The event will once again bring together artists who, with their lively spirit, voice, movement, color, and sound, stop passersby and attract the attention of all generations.
All artists and groups are welcome, regardless of gender, age, skill level, or professional or amateur status. The festival welcomes musicians, singers, actors, performers, dancers, painters, animators, entertainers, and creatives.
The festival’s Project Team expects applications from individuals and groups from Banja Luka, other cities in the Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as from neighboring countries. The Project Team further notes that a larger number of spots will be reserved for participants from Banja Luka and the surrounding area due to organizational and financial reasons, though certain spots will be allocated for participants from outside the region.
Applications are open until April 27, 2025, and should be sent via email to: trotoart.bl@gmail.com. The application should include the following details:
Name and surname of the performer(s);
Name of the group/ensemble and the number of members;
A brief description of the performer(s) (since when they have been performing, what they do, etc.);
Type of performance (concert, performance, etc.); and
It is recommended to include at least one photo from a past performance.
Based on the submitted applications, the festival's Project Team will conduct a selection process and prepare a detailed festival program. Additionally, all interested parties can get further clarifications via the same email address.
The Street Performers Festival "TrotoArt" is part of a series of events under the program "Banja Luka Spring 2025." "TrotoArt" was first organized in 2022 as a new city event aimed at bringing together artists—whether amateurs or professionals—who contribute to the cultural and entertainment life of the city with their dedication and skills.
In 2023, the festival's goal was modified to establish and develop a regional arts festival, a meeting point for collaboration and communication between artists themselves and between artists and the audience.
