On May 16, the historic Kastel Fortress will transform into an open-air stage for a one-of-a-kind musical celebration. And the best part—admission is completely free.

Imagine a night beneath the stars, ancient stone walls illuminated by rhythm and light, music echoing through the city, and hundreds of people moving as one. That’s exactly what awaits you at Kastel, in an event organized by Freshwave Festival and the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This May evening, Kastel won’t be just a fortress—it will be a stage of freedom, a symbol of unity, and the epicenter of a shared rhythm. The summer stage will be transformed into a space like no other: open to everyone, without barriers, with music that invites us to move, breathe, and celebrate—together.

Setting the vibe will be some of the biggest names in the regional electronic music scene: Nebs Jack, Ivan Z, Stefan Ivanković, and Jan Frost, all leading up to a performance by the world-renowned DJ Technasia.

“This isn’t just a concert—it’s an invitation to be part of something greater. To dance shoulder to shoulder with strangers and friends alike. To celebrate love and freedom—values that unite us, especially when we need them most,” say the organizers.

This event marks the grand finale of a series organized by the European Union in BiH, in partnership with Freshwave Festival, Garden of Dreams, and From Herz With Love, celebrating Europe Day across three cities: Sarajevo, Mostar, and now, Banja Luka.
